We would like to formally acknowledge the people and land of the Ramaytush Ohlone Tribe, on whose land Cities and People Advisors exists.

The original people of what is now San Francisco County were called the Yelamu, which is a local tribe within Ramaytush Ohlone territory.

We acknowledge that this city, state, and nation itself were founded upon and continue to enact exclusions and erasures of Indigenous Peoples. 

This acknowledgement is our commitment to working to dismantle ongoing legacies of settler colonialism, and to recognize the hundreds of Indigenous Nations who continue to resist, thrive, and uphold their sacred relations across their lands.

We offer our respect to Indigenous elders past, present, and future and to those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations and will continue to steward it moving forward.
